REVJO

Nine times out of ten I’m happy with the artwork for Fool’s Gold releases. Once in a great while I’ll have to capitulate to an artists wishes, and/or the collective consciousness but then there’s moments where everything comes together so perfectly and justifies why I do what I do. Such is the case w/ the artwork for Jokers Of The Scene’s latest release Revolting Joks.

The REVJO artwork is indicative of a more “stripped down” approach I’m taking w/ my illustrative work moving forward. And yes, that is an upside down cross of various BDSM instruments of pleasure/pain on the cover. Just wait till you see Joking Victim..

Atlas

One of my favorite songs from Battles. Of particular interest is the infinity mirrored cube in the video, something I’ll be experimenting with in the near future.

Something Special For You…

The homie Fashen recently dropped his mix Something Special For You… I had the pleasure of creating the artwork for it. Download here.

Gilles Larrain

In the March issue of Vice, Ryan McGinley interviewed Gilles Larrain about his book Idols, published in 1973. The book is a collection of photographs of drag queens, freaks and weirdos, including but not limited to Harvey Fierstein, John Raven, and members of the Cockettes, a psychedelic theatrical troupe from San Francisco.
